The Director of Education for the Simcoe County District School Board has announced his retirement.
After 34 years in education, Steve Blake, will be leaving the position on July 31, 2021.
Blake began his career as an educator in 1987 with the Durham District School Board, before coming to Simcoe County and a brief stint at the Bluewater District school Board.
The Board of Trustees passed a motion yesterday appointing John Dance, Associate Director/Superintendent of Human Resource Services, to the position of Interim Director, effective August 1, 2021.
