A local family is pushing a five year old girl in a wheelchair along the Georgian Trail today for a special cause.
A Thornbury family is starting at 6 this morning in Collingwood and will trek 34 kilometres along the Trail to Meaford, in order to raise awareness for a rare disease called CDKL5.
It is a genetic disorder that causes seizures, developmental delay, and severe intellectual disability.
The Ladly family, including their daughter Brynn, is raising money and awareness for CDKL5 until the end of the month.
You can follow their journey live by clicking here, and you can donate to the campaign by clicking here.
Today is also worldwide CDKL5 Awareness Day.
