Mayor Nina Bifolchi has written to provincial leaders about the behaviour seen in Wasaga Beach over the last two weekends.
She says more adequate resources are needed to keep the community safe and believes a greater collaboration is needed between the town, Ontario Parks and the OPP.
Bifolchi says she has received letters of complaints from residents for years about how visitors treat our community and some of the behaviour is starting to get out of control.
She is requesting more active and effective police enforcement at the main beach area, in order to prevent crimes from happening.
Over the past weekend alone, there was a murder and a drug bust.
