The Collingwood Agricultural Society has created an Agricultural Education Award.
It is encouraging students in, or planning to further their post-secondary education in Agriculture, to apply.
The Friday ‘Education Day’ at the GNE sees over a thousand elementary school students come to the Fairgrounds for information and demonstrations of many farm and food related activities.
Two of the AG Society’s past and present Fair Ambassadors brought forth the idea to The Board of Directors who supported the concept of supporting higher levels of education as well, resulting in the creation of this Award.
Complete details and application forms can be found by clicking here.
The first awards will be presented this fall.
