
Funding for upgrades have been approved for a community centre in Brussels.
In a news release, Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson says $4.7 million will be allotted for expansion and upgrades at the Brussels, Morris, and Grey Community Centre.
Three levels of government are contributing to the funding.
The Government of Canada is contributing $1,915,200, while the Government of Ontario is contributing $1,595,840, and the municipality of Huron East is adding $1,276,959 to the project.
The project includes an enhanced fitness centre, kitchen facilities, auditorium and new dressing rooms that meet Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requirements.
