Three people have been arrested, following complaints about thefts from vehicles in Tay Township and Midland.
Police were called by a homeowner on Robin’s Point Road early Wednesday morning to report people prowling near a home who then left the area on foot.
Officers followed footprints in the fresh snow to a separate residence which resulted in the identification of three suspects.
The same day, several property owners called the OPP to report that their vehicles had been rummaged through and items were stolen in the same area
Police say similar reports were also received in the area of Woodland Avenue and the surrounding streets in Midland.
As a result, three people were taken into custody on charges of theft and trespass at night: an 18 year old and two young offenders.
All three were released and are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland at a later date.
*Police are requesting the assistance of the public who may possess surveillance video or further information in the areas and timeframes involved in this incident on 15 April 2020, specifically the streets around Woodland Avenue in Midland between 12am-2am, as well as the area of Robin’s Point Road in Tay Township between 2am-4am.
