The Town of Wasaga Beach is making changes to the configuration of Main Street.
The work involves line painting from River Road West to the south side of the Main Street Bridge, between June 2-4, subject to weather.
The current configuration of the road has two lanes in each direction and no accommodation for cyclists.
The new configuration, once line painting is complete, will include three lanes – one lane in each direction with a common centre turn lane and bike lanes on each side of the road.
The bike lanes will extend to 6th Street north of the bridge.
The changes are known as a “Road Diet”, and motorists should expect delays while the work takes place.
