In its first update from the long weekend, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 146 new cases of COVID-19, along with two more deaths related to the virus: one in Barrie and another in Innisfil.
It also says another 113 local cases have screened positive as a variant of concern, with 422 currently active variants cases in the region.
The new cases reported today include:
