The Green Party of Ontario is hosting a special virtual town hall meeting for residents of Parry Sound-Muskoka.
It will be co-hosted by Mike Schreiner, leader of the Green Party of Ontario and MPP for Guelph, and Matt Richter, local candidate for MPP in the 2022 election.
The event will spotlight the people and the issues that matter to Parry Sound-Muskoka.
Called Reimagining Ontario: Spotlight on Parry Sound-Muskoka, it will take place live via Zoom on Wednesday, May 26 at 7:30 pm and feature a roundtable question-and-answer format with riding constituents to address topics and areas of most concern to them in next year’s election.
“Our constituents are facing some of the most challenging times in our riding’s history,” Richter, the Green Party’s nominee for Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP, says. “As we look to move forward from the pandemic year, it’s time to ask ourselves what the future of our riding could, and should, look like, and how we can move forward to a stronger, more caring, more resilient future for everyone. On May 26, we’ll envision that better future together.”
This event is one of a series of Green Party Ontario town halls covering everything from dignity for seniors and systemic racism to childcare and education. It is the first town hall in that series specifically dedicated to a single riding.
Matt Richter has been hosting his own live Zoom events with Parry Sound-Muskoka constituents for an ongoing listening tour that began in the spring and will continue through fall.
