A man has been arrested in connection with two armed robberies in Collingwood.
Police say during the incidents earlier this year, an armed man entered two area businesses and demanded cash, before fleeing the scene with some money.
As a result of the investigation, a 39 year old man has been arrested on several charges.
Police say a warrant was executed at a residence in Collingwood where an imitation pistol and a shotgun with ammunition was seized as well as methamphetamine.
The OPP says Justin Muenz from Collingwood is charged with:
- two counts of Robbery With a Weapon
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- two counts of Carry Concealed Weapon
- Use Imitation Firearm While Committing an Offence
- Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm.
The accused was held for video bail court today May 20 2021.
