Doug Ford announced the reopening of the province, albeit slowly.
The Ontario Premier announced today that over the next few weeks the province will reopen gradually through a phased, 3 step approach.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Christine Elliott announced that brighter days are ahead, starting this weekend.
Starting Saturday, golf courses and tennis courts will be allowed to reopen.
Elliott went on to explain the three step process.
Step one would have a focus resuming outdoor activities including gatherings of up to 10 people, outdoor dinning of up to 4 people per table and non-essential retail at 15 per cent capacity.
Step two would expand the outdoor gatherings of up to 25 people, outdoor sports and leagues, non-essential retail at 25 per cent capacity, public libraries and personal care services all with face coverings.
Finally step three would expand on indoor areas including gyms, cinemas, indoor dining and museums with capacity limits.
Ontario will remain in each step for at least 21 days before moving to the next step.
Elliott said Ontario expects to move to step one by June 14th.
