Parks Canada administered places like Gravenhurst’s Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site in Gravenhurst will delay the launch of most visitor services until at least June 2nd.
The announcement came today adding that it’s in keeping with the current stay-at-home order.
The delay also affects Georgian Bay Islands National Park locally.
All Parks Canada reservations impacted by this delay will be automatically canceled and refunded in full. Visitors don’t have to do anything to cancel their reservations.
The following services and facilities will remain closed to visitors until at least June 2, 2021, inclusively:
- Access to visitor reception centres and buildings;
- Reserved parking areas, docks, mooring facilities and boat shuttles;
- All campgrounds including island, front country and backcountry sites;
- Roofed accommodations, including oTENTiks, rustic cabins and yurts;
- All interpretation programs, experiences and guided tours.
