Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Grey Bruce Health Unit Monday.
Two residents of Southgate tested positive, as well as two in Kincardine and one in Saugeen Shores.
With five more resolved cases, there are 52 known active cases including 38 active variants
There are 196 active high-risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
Three local people are hospitalized due to the virus and five people transferred from other regions are being treated in local Intensive Care Units.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have been seven cases linked to the virus in Grey Bruce.
There are no reported outbreaks.
7, 020 vaccine doses have been shipped to the region this week.
8,929 COVID-19 vaccines have been given in the past seven days.
78,760 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce to date.
