More Electric Vehicle Charger Stations could be coming to Bracebridge.
Next week, councilors on the Town’s General Committee will look at allowing Lakeland Holding Ltd. to install chargers on Rene Caisse Lane, the parking lot next to the Hiram Street train station, at the Town hall office, the Bracebridge Sportsplex, and multi use community center lands.
Already Bracebridge has seen the installation of electric chargers by private businesses, like the Muskoka Natural Food Market and the South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club, as well as at Lakeland’s regional office at 196 Taylor Road.
If provided, a letter of support from the council would support the company’s application to Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) for the installation of the charger stations.
