Two people face drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Huntsville.
Thursday, an OPP officer stopped a car on Cairns Drive after it was observed speeding.
Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested.
During the investigation, police say they found 25.33 grams of Cocaine, 4.43 grams of Crack Cocaine and 25.87 grams of Methamphetamine.
A 23-year-old Huntsville woman faces three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as a charge of drug-impaired driving – the second accused, a 16-year-old girl from Lake of Bays, faces three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.
Both were released with the condition they weren’t to communicate directly or indirectly with each other, but today, OPP was made aware they were together again. Officers found them in each other’s company on Chaffey Road.
They were again arrested and charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.
The youth offender was held for a bail hearing today.
The 23-year-old was released and is scheduled to appear in Huntsville court in June.
