The Ministry of Labour will be conducting an education and enforcement initiative in Simcoe-Muskoka to ensure workplaces and businesses are following public health guidelines.
The move will happen via local police, public health inspectors and municipal bylaw enforcement.
Some of the things they’ll be looking for is properly-placed safety plans, screening requirements for staff and customers, proper use of masks and face coverings, crowd control measures and capacity limits to ensure the proper 2-meter physical distancing.
It will happen Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st.
The inspections will assist with confirming that retail businesses and workplaces are complying with the provincial Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020 and associated regulations.
