From now until October, the CN Railway Company will be clearing its right-of-way of any vegetation that may pose hazards near the rail line running through Bracebridge.
The vegetation can cause trackside fires, reduced visibility at crossings, and damage to the railbed etc.
Herbicides will also be applied on and around the railway tracks, mainly the graveled area known as the ballast, but also on other areas of the right-of-way where necessary for safety purposes.
