The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 14 new Covid cases and 24 recoveries in the region on Tuesday.
According to Public Health, five people from Owen Sound, three from Brockton, and residents of The Blue Mountains, Saugeen Shores, West Grey and Grey Highlands tested positive.
The active known case load in the region fell to 127, as recoveries outpaced new infections. The health unit also disclosed a previous confirmed case as a false positive. Five people are currently hospitalized.
There are 663 active high-risk close contacts identified by Public Health.
On vaccination progress in Grey Bruce: 52,755 doses have been administered to date.
Over the course of the pandemic, five Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Thursday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
