Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the George Floyd murder trial.
The jury rendered its verdict late this afternoon.
The former policeman had been filmed pressing his knee on Floyd’s neck, setting off riots in the US and highlighting the issues of police brutality and racism.
The trial now enters its sentencing phase.
