A man is facing several charges following an incident at a local hotel.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, Orillia OPP say they were called about a man threatening another with a gun at the hotel.
Officers arrived and took a 35 year old man from Severn Township into custody, while two knives and a pellet gun were seized.
The OPP say Andrew JonesĀ has been charged with:
- Uttering Threats
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with release order X4
- Possession of a firearm contrary to a Prohibition order X2
- Mischief Under $5000
- Resist Peace Officer X5
- Assault a Peace Officer X4
The accused has been held for a bail hearing and is set to appear on April 14, 2021, via video link, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Barrie.
