A Barrie restaurant has been fined under the Reopening Ontario Act.
According to the Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit, The Simmering Kettle on Bryne Drive was charged on April 8, 2021 for failing to comply with a continued section 7.0.2 order (Part 3 ROA- Corporation).
However, the amount of the fine is still “to be determined”.
The owner of The Simmering Kettle has continued to open her doors, despite the infraction.
Shalu Persaud served food at last weekend’s anti-lockdown rally in downtown Barrie.
She posted a video on Facebook on Monday claiming ICU’s are empty and asking, “Where’s the pandemic?”
Persaud is asking her supporters to great a GoFundMe campaign to find the “truth”.
