Springwater Fire is asking residents to burn with extreme caution as grass, twigs, leaves and other fine fuels are especially dry and easily ignited at this time of the year.
As a result of the increased fire risk, the Fire Danger Rating has been set to high in Springwater and all burning does require a permit.
It was already set to high in both Collingwood and Wasaga Beach earlier this week.
Burning yard waste is also not permitted in Springwater and could result in a $300 fine.
