A 35-year-old Barrie resident faces charges after police say they pulled the vehicle they were driving into a police detachment parking lot while impaired.
A uniform officer with the Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded at 8:35 pm Wednesday to a report of a possibly impaired driver.
The officer found then followed the vehicle, which was heading westbound on Heritage Drive in Midland.
Police say the driver pulled into the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment parking lot off Heritage Drive and was spoken too, then arrested.
The driver has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, refusing to comply with a demand and mischief which occurred at the detachment.
They are now set to appear at an April 1st court date in Midland.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension.
