Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” proudly sponsored by Pete’s Auto Body.
Pete’s Auto Body; because we care about our community……
A little more lacrosse today.
I had a nice chat last week with Jake McNabb.
We could have talked about a number of lacrosse topics.
We could have talked about his hope to play in Owen Sound this Summer.
We could have talked about the announcement of the NLL season commencing next December
And we could have talked about his NLL team, the Colorado Mammoth.
Instead, Jake and I talked at length about the Northern Torch Lacrosse Tune-Up Camp that’s set to run on the weekend of March 26th to 28th at the Kilsyth Arena.
McNabb among others is a founder and instructor for the camps.
The Kilsyth Camp has 3 age brackets; Under 11, Under 14 and Under 17, all of which will receive 5 hours of floor time and instruction from McNabb and other professionals.
While it won’t happen this time around, the longer term goal for Northern Torch is to offer an additional category for Girls at some point.
McNabb loves lacrosse, always has. And he fully understands how the pandemic and lockdowns have handcuffed lacrosse lovers and to a large extent has taken active kids hostage for a year now.
Those restrictions appear to be loosening, and come late March, there should be a massive burst of lacrosse energy in Kilsyth at the Northern Torch Tune-Up Camp.
For Pete’s Auto Body I’m Fred Wallace
