Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada has secured a deal with Pfizer for 1 million doses of its vaccine per week starting March 22nd.
“A million doses of Pfizer alone every seven days,” said Trudeau. “That’s going to make a big difference. We have shared these updated delivery schedules with the Provinces and Territories – this is so they can continue to plan for mass vaccination sites to get you and your family protected as soon as possible.”
The fast track deliveries will run until May 10th.
To date, 3.8 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been shipped to the Provinces and Territories.
Rehearsals have occurred recently led by Major General Dany Fortin to ensure the fast track phase runs smoothly.
Trudeau says every dose makes a difference.
