A best-selling author in Huron County is tackling accessibility in the places we do our business.
Blyth author Julie Sawchuk is launching her third book Wednesday, “Building Better Bathrooms.”
Sawchuk says the 157-page book began as a pamphlet on the nuances of creating bathrooms designed for people of all abilities.
The book launch is happening at Blyth’s Cowbell Brewery, which Sawchuk says has the best washroom accessibility in all of Huron County.
She also credits other establishments for their commitment to accessibility, including the North Huron Family Health Team in Wingham, Pick A Posie (Blyth), Cait’s Cafe (Goderich), and the Blyth Pharmacy.
Sawchuk’s book “Build Your Space: How to create an accessible home for you, your family and your future,” was released in 2019, and she co-authored “SHINE Volume 3: Inspirational Stories of Choosing Success Over Adversity.”
The launch of “Building Better Bathrooms” runs on Facebook live from Cowbell Brewery Wednesday at 1:00 p.m..
