Both Conners and McIlroy opened with a round of 66 which was good for a share of the lead at 6 under par
Conners had a red hot start going 6 under through 6 holes, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 16th.
However, he finished with a 3-putt bogey from 60 feet to fall into a tie with McIlroy.

Conners will tee off at 8:06 am this morning
McIlroy isn’t scheduled to start Round 2 until 12:46 pm

Owner Joe Norton confirmed to Bayshore Broadcasting yesterday that the shift of the Brampton Major Series lacrosse team to Owen Sound has been approved
Norton, who also owns and operates the Owen Sound Bug Juice Senior NorthStars, confirmed the move was in effect since the Fall.
However, based on objections launched in Brampton at various levels, the move was delayed for a period of a couple months.
