Highway 26 remains closed between Grandview Drive and Cook Street in Meaford due to a structure fire at a commercial building.
Meaford Fire Chief Courtney Allen says firefighters arrived on scene just prior to 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon to find heavy smoke billowing from the workshop.
The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. It suffered extensive damage.
No word at this time on the suspected cause of the blaze.
Firefighters are expected to remain at the scene for several more hours.
