Ontarians over the age of 80 will be able to book a COVID-19 appointment online as of March 15th.
Retired Gen. Rick Hillier, the head of the province’s COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force, made the announcement on Wednesday, stating Ontario’s online booking system and customer service desk will be up and running by the third week of March so that seniors (80 years and older) can begin to book their appointments for immunization as part of Phase 2 of the province’s distribution plan.
Depending on vaccine supplies, the government aims to begin administrating COVID-19 vaccines to people over 75 on April 15, and people over 70 on May 1.
The government has continually promised that anyone who wants to get vaccinated against the virus will be able to do so by September.
