The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported 61 new COVID-19 cases and one more death related to the virus in its update today– a woman over 80 from Bradford.
The new cases reported include:
42 Barrie
1 Ramara
1 Collingwood
1 Penetanguishene
1 Tay
3 Bradford
3 Innisfil
3 New Tecumseth
3 Muskoka: 2 in Huntsville and 1 in Muskoka Lakes
There are also three cases included in today’s report with location information still pending.
According to the health unit, 171 local cases have tested positive for the B.1.1.7 variant that originated in the UK and an additional 216 cases have screened positive (awaiting confirmatory testing).
