More than $3 million in provincial funding means Muskoka’s paramedicine program can expand.
The new money was announced by local MPP Norm Miller. It will expand a pilot project which had paramedics keep tabs on the health of seniors, making home visits, monitoring symptoms and providing advice.
The program has enabled seniors to stay in their own homes longer and cuts down on visits to hospital emergency rooms.
