Dallas Ditches Anthem
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has decided the team will no longer play the U.S. national anthem prior to home games.
The team has yet to play the anthem at any of the 13 preseason and regular-season games at American Airlines Center
Cuban declined to comment
The NBA rulebook requires players to stand during the anthem, however, the league has opted against enforcing that stipulation as players, coaches, staff and executives have used the anthem as a method of protesting against racial and social injustices in the U.S.
