
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported zero new Covid cases and one recovery in the region Tuesday.
The active known case load in the region fell slightly to 20, as recoveries slightly outpaced new infections.
One person from the area is currently hospitalized. There has been one death in Grey Bruce due to Covid.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Tuesday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Monday.
Public Health says there are no outbreaks at any long-term care or retirement homes, or any schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
However, the health unit says it is working with the Bluewater District School Board to address a probable Covid case at Grey Highlands Secondary School.
“While there is an individual considered a probable case of COVID-19 associated with this school, our assessment, to date, indicates there is no evidence that transmission took place within the school environment,” a release from Public Health explains.
On vaccination progress, no change from Monday: 1,320 doses have been administered in Grey Bruce to date.
