More funding is coming to school boards in Huron, Bruce, and Perth counties to pay for COVID-19 supports.
Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson made the announcement as part of the Safe Return to Class Fund.
Monies allocated in Huron-Bruce for COVID-19 relief and technical devices include:
- Bluewater District School Board: $10.37 million
- Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board: $3.85 million
- Avon Maitland District School Board: $9.47 million
- Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board: $4.05 million
The Avon Maitland District School Board received $650 thousand in August to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, health and safety training, and accommodations for students with special needs.
