A tip from the public has led to the arrest of a suspected impaired driving in Tiny Township.
Last Thursday night, police received a report of a possible drunk driver in the Cedar Point Road area.
Officers quickly located the vehicle and stopped it for a traffic violation on Robert Street West in Penetanguishene.
Following an investigation, the driver, a 27 year old man from Christian Island, was arrested for impaired operation, while police say an open container of liquor was seized from the vehicle.
Police say the accused also damaged property at the detachment and faces an additional charge of mischief.
The accused was released from police custody on a undertaking to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on February 18, 2021.
The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and the accused’s driver’s licence has been further suspended for 90 days under the conditions of the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) .
