Orillia OPP is investigating a near-drowning involving a snowmobiler that went through the ice on Lake Simcoe.
Police say around 630 Friday night, emergency services received a 911 call for a snowmobiler who went through the ice on the lake near Line 15, Oro-Medonte.
Officers attended the adjacent shoreline and were able to assist in directing Fire Services to the scene where the snowmobiler was successfully removed from the water and transported to shore, before being taken to hospital with severe hypothermia.
