A senior officer with the Barrie Police faces a charge of misconduct but the officer’s identity has not been released, nor do we know what infraction they are alleged to have committed.
A news release says there was an allegation of an on-duty internal incident late last year, and Barrie’s police chief called in the OPP’s professional standards bureau to investigate.
Now the officer, who is an inspector with 26 years of service, has been reassigned to alternative duties pending the outcome of a police services act proceeding.
