Heightened safety measures are coming into place at Huron and Perth county public schools.
With students set to return to the classroom Monday, the Avon Maitland District School Board says mandatory self-screening for COVID-19 will be instituted for all students.
The AMDSB says the screening must be done every day.
Masking will now be required for all students in Grades 1-12, with reasonable exemptions.
Students will also be disallowed from congregating before and after classes, and all students will receive a refresher training session on COVID-19 safety protocols on the first day back to in person learning.
In-person classes will be held Monday for the first time since December 18th, the last day before the holiday break.
E-learning has been in place since January 4th.
