More Ontario businesses may soon be allowed to reopen.
Premier Doug Ford says an announcement regarding the eventual reopening of the economy could be made as early as next week.
Ford made the comment as he toured a new COVID-19 testing facility at Pearson International Airport yesterday, before meeting with his cabinet.
He said following discussions at the meeting, a decision on reopening the economy could be announced on Monday.
Both the state of emergency and stay-at-home order in Ontario are set to expire next week.
Quebec Premier Francois Legault has announced that non-essential stores, personal care salons and museums across his province will be permitted to reopen next week.
