Tuneups Torpedoed
Competition at 6 Australian Open tuneup events scheduled for today were called off after a worker at one of the tournaments’ quarantine hotels tested positive for COVID-19.
The Australian Open is scheduled to begin Monday.
Anyone who quarantined at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne were deemed to be casual contacts of an infected man and are required to remain in their accommodation until they test negative.
NLL Cancels
The National Lacrosse League announced that plans for an abbreviated season this spring have been cancelled due to uncertainties arising from the ongoing Global Pandemic.
The league including the NLL Board of Governors, will move towards starting a traditional season in the Fall
