Another grim milestone for the coronavirus pandemic today with more than two million cases of COVID-19 now reported worldwide.
According to numbers compiled by Johns Hopkins University, the outbreak has claimed the lives of more than 128,071 people, with the United States reporting the most fatalities at 26,069.
Johns Hopkins experts are aggregating data from multiple credible sources to track the spread of COVID-19. Map data is updated in near real-time throughout the day.
As of 10:30 a.m. ET, the number of total confirmed cases worldwide was 2,000,984.
The United States remained the hardest-hit nation with more than 609,696 COVID-19 infections.
That is more than double Spain, which reported the second most cases at 177,633.
Canada has 27,063 and is number 12 on the list.
