Super Bowl LV is set for Sunday night in Tampa Bay as the NFC Champion Buccaneers will host the defending NFL Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Is there any point in playing the game ?
As far as I can see, Kansas City should waltz.
Other than playing with fire in the early going in the AFC Final against Buffalo, the Chiefs looked poised and precise as they picked apart a very good Bills defence, taking whatever was given and reversing a 9 point deficit and scoring a virtual blowout.
And defensively, the Chiefs didn’t give up a great deal to to the Bills when it mattered, and keep in mind Josh Allen & Buffalo have an exceptional attack with all kinds of options.
Sure, Kansas City is only favored by 3.
Yes, Tampa Bay is playing on home field for the Super Bowl; the first time that’s ever really happened in the NFL history.
True, The Bucs have Tom Brady who has more Super Bowl experience than any quarterback which counts for a great deal.
And I admit the Buccaneers have been impressive in their run to the Super Bowl winning post season games on the road at Washington, New Orleans and at Green Bay.
But, the Chiefs just looked too sharp in dispatching Buffalo and I don’t see Tampa Bay being able to prevent Kansas City for winning the Super Bowl in back to back years.
