The Town of Collingwood is making a minor change to enhance safety at the Outdoor Rink at Central Park.
It will now require that a mask be worn both on the ice and in the lacing areas adjacent to the rink.
“Whether it’s a variant strain, or the original virus, we’ve been told that the best way to reduce the risk is to keep our distance, wear a mask, and wash our hands. With the variant strain becoming more of a concern, this minor change seems like the right thing to do to continue managing the risks of transmission,” says Dean Collver, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Culture.
It continues to be required that spots at the rink are booked in advance via the Town’s online system, by clicking here.
Only 20 people are allowed to use the rink at a time.
While Provincial Stay at Home orders are still in effect, the Outdoor Rink is classified as an acceptable exercise location to maintain health and wellbeing. Access to the Outdoor Rink is limited to residents of Collingwood.
