The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has reported 65 new COVID-19 cases in its latest update, along with one more death related to the virus; a resident of Barrie.
It says 10 local cases have tested positive for the COVID-19 variant of concern UK B.1.1.7 and an additional 105 cases have screened positive and are awaiting secondary test results to confirm the variant.
The new cases reported on Friday include:

Penetanguishene 2
Adjala-Tosorontio 1
Bracebridge 1
Innisfil 4
Bradford 4
New Tecumseth 4
