Owen Sound Police say a male known to them brought into custody Friday was found in possession of a replica handgun.
City Police they were patrolling a west side neighbourhood when an officer spotted a male with warrants for his arrest.
Police say additional units were notified and the male was quickly and safely taken into custody without incident.
According to police, the accused was searched following the arrest and found to be in possession of a replica handgun that he had concealed.
The male accused, who has not been identified, was brought back to the Owen Sound Police station and is being held for bail on numerous charges including carrying a concealed weapon and break of a weapons prohibition order issued by the court from past offences.
