United Way of Perth-Huron
The Goderich Lions Club (GLC) is doing their part to combat homeless in Huron County.
The United Way of Perth-Huron announced a $6 thousand donation from the GLC.
Lions Club President John Grace says he wanted to, “share more about the amazing things UWPH has been part of in Goderich and area, to show why UWPH is an effective way to support building an even stronger local community.”
Donations in Goderich go directly to the Goderich Homelessness Initiative including a supportive housing worker, helping find housing for vulnerable community members and ensuring successful tenancies; three additional beds at Huron Turning Point, assisting men from across Huron; and support for the Out of the Cold — Hearts to Home shelter in Goderich.
Donations also support shelter for women, children and youth.
