There has been an outbreak of COVID-19 in a third unit at Barrieās Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
An RVH news release says the latest outbreak was declared after two patients in the Specialized Seniors Care Unit tested positive.
Two other units at RVH also have outbreaks. Ten patients and 17 staff members from the Integrated Stroke and Rehabilitation Unit have tested positive and there have been five related patient deaths.
The Transitional Care Unit has seen six patients and seven staff infected with the virus, and one death.
The hospital says patients are all being quarantined in their rooms and are being monitored closely for symptoms.
All three units are closed to new admissions and there are no visitors allowed in any part of the hospital.
