The SIU has cleared police of any wrong-doing in connection with the arrest of a woman in Midland.
Police say on September 25, 2020, a 32-year-old woman was taken into custody and the following night, she contacted the OPP to report her right arm had been fractured in the course of the arrest.
The Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to believe that the arresting officer committed a criminal offence in connection with the woman’s arrest and as a result, the investigation has been terminated.
