The OPP has arrested a man in connection with a violent assault in Orillia.
Police say it happened on the morning of December 5th, when officers received a call advising that a male had been badly beaten up at a residence on Colborne Street.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a suspect was identified, but police were unable to locate him at the time.
An arrest warrant was issued and today, police say 27 year old Paul Hart-Payne was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The accused has been held for a bail hearing and is set to appear on January 23, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Newmarket.
