Saugeen Shores Police have arrested a 64-year-old Southampton man for allegedly trafficking narcotics.
Town Police say an officer on patrol and members of the Criminal Investigations and Drugs Unit observed a male known to them operation a motor vehicle near Railway Street on Thursday.
Police say the 64-year-old man is currently subject to a recognizance of bail to not occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle.
Saugeen Shores Police arrested and searched the man, locating several small packages on him.
Police say the packages contained suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The Southampton man faces numerous charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Police say the accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
